Ferrari SC40 & CZ26 names trademarked possibly for new one-off models
Published on
Ferrari has filed two new trademarks that hint at possible one-off models that could be revealed later this year. Applications for the nametags – ‘SC40’ and ‘CZ26’ have been filed at the trademark office in Italy.
Ferrari’s top clients have the option to commission one-off models under the Special Projects program. These are mostly based on existing models. For example – the Ferrari SP48 Unica and SP-8 are based on the F8 Tributo and F8 Spider, respectively, while the SP51 is a rebodied 812 GTS.
Currently, it’s impossible to guess which model the SC40 and CZ26 could be based on. That being said, the former might be inspired by the iconic Ferrari F40, with ‘SC’ being the initials of the owner.
