Ferrari Purosangue to be priced at US$ 398,350 – Double its rival Urus
The Ferrari Purosangue is the Italian carmaker’s way to cater to a new segment of customers. As expected from the Prancing horse stable, the car is well designed and is powered by a high-revving naturally aspirated V12 engine. But, now, the company has announced the pricing for his luxury SUV for the American market. The SUV will start at US$ 398,350. This amount includes a US$ 5,000 destination charge.
Gas Guzzler tax on the Ferrari Purosangue
That said, the company has not yet revealed the amount of the gas guzzler tax on the Ferrari Purosangue. This tax is based on the car’s fuel efficiency rating. Purosangue’s rating has not yet been released by the EPA. Further, it is also possible that the US government classifies it as a sport utility vehicle and hence make the tax exempt on this vehicle.

Purosangue’s nearest rival, the Lamborghini Urus sells for a starting price of US$225,000. This makes the Ferrari almost double the Italian rival’s price point. Infact, in the UK market, Ferrari has priced the the Purosangue at US$ 376,000. Meanwhile the Lamborghini Urus will set you back by a minimum of US$ 213,000 while the Aston Martin DBX hovers around US$ 192,000 mark. Further, when buyers configure the optional extras on this car, the Purosangue could easily breach the US$ 500,000 mark.
Above all, Ferrari definitely has a trick up its sleeves. All in all, the Purosangue is the only one which comes with a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine. This motor belts out 715 HP and 528 lb-ft of torque. Ferrari routes all this power to the four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
