2016 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta Fails to Sell at Mecum Auctions

That didn’t stop the owner from placing it on the rack again for sale with a $7 million asking price. Yes, this 2016 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta really needs a new home.

Last month’s 2019 Mecum Kissimmee (Florida) auction saw this particular 2016 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta failing to find a buyer. And the credit for the misfire goes to the steep reserve set for the exclusive supercar. Remember, this is a super-rare machine with only 210 examples in existence. Plus, Ferrari made sure that only an elite bunch of people who were selected by the carmaker got the keys in the first place.

Now that this Aperta couldn’t find itself a new home, the current owner has placed it with Mecum again. But this time, the supercar is part of the “Bid Goes On” program. The terms and conditions have changed as the LaFerrari continues its search for a new owner. To begin with, the supercar can now be yours for an asking price of $7 million. Shocker of a price tag, isn’t it?

The odometer reading is 174 miles and this LaFerrari Aperta comes with a hard-top carbon-fiber roof which happens to be a $62,807 optional feature. The new owner will be getting an additional key and car covers as well. The latter will ensure that the Rosso Corsa paint job stays new for long.

In related news, the owner is ready to part with the car in exchange for another supercar or supercar collection of equal value. There is also the option by which the Aperta will be given to the chap who makes the best offer.

We were going through our archives and were surprised to see how the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta turned out to be among the most flipped cars in the past year. So the new Ford GT isn’t alone after all when it comes to being flipped around by owners.
