Some say that Ferrari’s latest hybrid supercar dubbed “Big Brother” could be the replacement for the LaFerrari.
Ferrari’s new hybrid supercar will be unveiled on May 29, 2019. A teaser image that has surfaced on social channels confirms this. This doesn’t come as a huge surprise to us as we had already reported that the new mid-engine hybrid is likely to be revealed by the end of this month.
Sources tells us that the new model dubbed “Big Brother” is likely to be showcased at a “VIP presentation” on the sidelines of the Monaco GP. The car is expected to be presented to the media from May 28-31, 2019.
Now, the teaser image doesn’t reveal much except for what appears to be the silhouette of the rear end of the car. It looks like the new model will have twin-pod tail lights like most modern Ferraris. The exhaust appear to be positioned just below the rear fascia. Also, note the integrated spoiler that looks similar to the one on the F8 Tributo.
The car is rumoured to be powered by a turbocharged V8 hybrid featuring three electric motors. The combined output could be around 1000 hp and the car is expected to weigh around 1600 kg. However, contrary to rumors, the new model is likely to be a series production model. That said, sources have told us that a “Special Version” could also be on cards.
