Ferrari F12tdf Chasing LaFerrari at Silverstone

The Ferrari F12tdf is a properly quick car. In fact, the V12-engine in the F12tdf makes more power than a Ferrari Enzo. So, what could be the outcome of a race between the F12tdf and a latest generation Ferrari hypercar- the LaFerrari?

What we have here is a front-engine F12 powered by a 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine pushing 770 hp and 508 lb-ft of torque through the rear wheels. It is capable of hitting 60 mph from standstill in 2.9 sec and has top speed of 211 mph.

It’s big brother- the LaFerrari has a similar 6.3-liter V12 engine which is boosted by a hybrid-electric drive that produces a combined output of 950 hp and 664 lb-ft. It catapults it from 0-60 mph in under 3 sec and it will accelerate to 217 mph.

With its long straightaways, the Silverstone GP circuit is well suited for the mid-engine LaFerrari. You can clearly see how the LaFerrari pulls away from the F12tdf on the Hanger straight. The F12 tries to keep up and does so pretty well with its V12 howling in the background.
