Ferrari 812 successor likely to be named ‘Ferrari 12 Cilindri’

Ferrari is all set to reveal what could be its last pure-V12 super GT. Until now, we have been referring to it as the 812 successor. Just hours prior to its debut, we may have stumbled upon new information that hints at the possible name of the new car.

According to STEVEC on Autopareri, the upcoming Ferrari 812 successor is likely to be called ’12 Cilindri’, after the number of cylinders in its engine. The open-top version could be named ’12 Cilindri Spider’.

So far, Ferrari has successfully kept the design of the new V12 GT under wraps. The recent teaser shared by the company doesn’t reveal much either. However, according to those who have seen design sketches of the new Ferrari 12 Cilindri, it borrows design cues from the 365 GTB/4, Roma and 296 GTB.

Its interior is expected to be inspired by the Purosangue. It could feature a twin cockpit design with a digital instrument cluster and a separate screen on the passenger side.

We also know that the Ferrari 12 Cilindri will be powered by the F140 naturally aspirated V12 engine. It is said to produce around 840 hp and revs to 9500 rpm.
