Exclusive! Porsche 911 ST could be unveiled on August 2
The Porsche 911 ST has been in the news for quite some time. Ever since the car was spotted testing at the Nurburgring, there have been rumors about its date of unveiling. Earlier, there were reports of a June 8th launch, which we were quick to dismiss, as untrue.
A few people we recently spoke with claim that the Porsche 911 ST would debut on August 2, 2023. We tried to verify this with other sources, and they seemed to agree that the car would be unveiled sometime next week.
The 911 ST is touted as the “ultimate collector’s 911”. We still don’t know whether the production version will use the “ST” suffix though.
The ST is likely to be based on the 911 GT3 RS. Essentially, a GT3 RS ‘Touring’ sans the active rear spoiler. It is expected to be powered by a 4.2-litre flat-6 engine. It will be paired with a manual gearbox, sending power to the rear axle.
The 911 ST will see a limited production run with each car individually numbered.
