The Dodge Charger may have gone electric, but buyers are clearly showing where their preferences lie. The petrol-powered Sixpack is seeing a huge jump in demand, helping overall Charger sales rise 22% in the third quarter of 2026.
Dodge sold 3,679 Chargers between July and September, up from 3,014 during the same period last year. Of those, 3,446 were Sixpack models powered by the Hurricane twin-turbocharged inline-six, while only 233 were electric Daytonas.

The difference is even more striking year on year. Sixpack sales jumped more than 1,300% in Q3, while year-to-date sales were up 330%.
Price could be playing a role. The 2026 Dodge Charger Sixpack R/T starts at $51,990 including destination, making it $10,000 cheaper than the entry-level Daytona.
The new four-door liftback is also helping broaden the Charger’s appeal, giving buyers more practicality without losing its muscle-car character.
