Custom McLaren 600LT Spider delivered to McLaren F1 Driver Carlos Sainz
That’s one of the many perks of being a successful Formula 1 racing driver. They get to own some real wheels – like this custom McLaren 600LT Spider.
Spaniard Carlos Sainz took delivery of a custom McLaren 600LT Spider the other day. The F1 driver who competes for McLaren-Renault F1 team arrived at the McLaren Technology Center to receive the hardcore supercar and shared the pictures on his Instagram handle for the rest of us to turn green with envy.
Custom-built and specced out to meet the list of preferences set by the racing driver, this particular example of the McLaren 600LT Spider has an understated dark silver shade. Classy and elegant, we must say, especially with those green metallic flakes in the paint which gives it the right amount of attention.
Orange brake calipers peeking through the gloss black wheel with silver spokes adds the much needed eye-catching color on the canvas. Inside, orange seatbelts and carbon-fiber bucket seats developed for the Senna take the spotlight.
The rest of the package, remains the same. So Carlos Sainz will be making that 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 spit out 582 hp of power and 457 lb-ft of torque to clock 0-60 mph dash in 2.8 seconds. The Sports Series supercar will top out at 201 mph.
