General Motors has finally released the first teaser of the C8 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. The automaker has also confirmed it will debut this summer.
The teaser says, “The unthinkable is coming”, although rumors and speculations about the new-gen Corvette ZR1 have been doing the rounds on the internet for quite some time. The video features a silhouette that looks unmistakably mid-engined.
Speaking of the engine, the C8 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is rumored to be powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine. It is likely to be the same 5.5-liter block as the Z06, garnished with dual turbochargers. The overall output could be around 850 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque, while transmission duties will be handled by an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic.
