A Bugatti Veyron “Black Bess”, part of the highly exclusive “Les Legendes” collection, is up for sale at Amian Cars in Germany. It is one of just three cars, and the only US-spec one produced.
The Veyron “Black Bess” is based on the Grand Sport Vitesse and is an homage to the Bugatti Type 18 “Black Bess” from 1912. It has an all-black exterior and matching black wheels just like the vintage model. However, what sets it apart are the 24-carat gold exterior highlights. It has a unique gold-plated horseshoe grille and “Black Bess” engravings.

The interior is also special and features two-tone leather upholstery in brown and beige, while the steering wheel is wrapped in red leather. The door pads bear scenes depicting the historic Type 18 “Black Bess” as well as Roland Garros’ airplane, a Morane Saulnier Type H.

Powering the special edition Veyron is Bugatti’s legendary 8.0-liter W16 engine, which makes 1184 hp and 1106 lb-ft of torque. With a top speed of over 253 mph, it was the fastest open-top roadster of its time.
While the dealership hasn’t disclosed the price, a Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse was recently sold at an auction for a record price of $5.44 million, which is a good indicator of the market value of these cars.
