Bugatti Bolide, Chiron Super Sport showcased at Milano Monza Motor Show
Bugatti brought its big guns to the 2021 Milano Monza Motor Show. The four-car line-up included the Chiron Pur Sport and Chiron Sport. However, all eyes were on the mighty Bolide and the Chiron Super Sport.
The Milano Monza Motor Show offers a very unique open-air experience as the cars are displayed at an open plaza. It gives fans a rare opportunity to get up close to the cars. Here’s a video of the Bugatti Bolide departing the venue as a crowd of enthusiasts line up to capture the moment.
As you might know, the Bolide is a one-off (at least for now) track car. It’s the most extreme car the company has ever produced. If Bugatti were in Le Mans, this would be their contender. Of course, the regulations would never allow them to run the 8.0-liter W16 engine. It produces 1850 hp and 1364 lb-ft of torque, in a car that weighs just 1240 kg.
The Chiron Super Sport is essentially a luxurious grand tourer that is capable of reaching speeds in excess of 300 mph. It features a slightly tuned W16 engine that revs to 7100 rpm, producing 1600 hp and 1180 lb-ft of torque. Top speed has been electronically limited to 273 mph.
