BMW M2 CS officially revealed ahead of Villa d’Este
The first official images of the new BMW M2 CS have been released. The car will be showcased at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in a few hours from now.
As expected, the new M2 CS looks a bit more aggressive than the standard model. It still has those square intakes at the front and the odd kidney grille. It has massively flared wheel arches and quad exhausts with an integrated ducktail spoiler at the back.
The CS also has gold wheels, carbon wing mirrors and a lightweight carbon fibre roof, which helps lower the centre of mass of the vehicle.
Reports suggest that the 3.0-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine has been tuned to produce 525 hp, allowing the car to sprint from 0-62 mph in just 3.8 seconds. That’s quicker than the M4 Competition. The top speed is said to be pegged at 188 mph.
The BMW M2 CS will be produced in limited numbers. Some estimates suggest that production could be limited to 2,000 units.
