BMW has finally revealed the Concept Speedtop – a three-door interpretation of a BMW Touring. It will be presented at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

The BMW Concept Speedtop is based on the Skytop that was showcased at the same event last year. It generated a lot of interest from collectors, and eventually, BMW decided to build a limited series of 50 cars. Buoyed by the response, this year BMW decided to roll out the Speedtop – an exclusive shooting brake version limited to just 70 units.

According to BMW, the Concept Speedtop reimagines the sporty Touring, blending the elegance of a shooting brake with unique proportions. The front fascia with its shark-nose design houses an illuminated kidney grille and slip headlights. It has a convenient hatchback in the rear with slim LED taillights. The color gradient on the roof, moving from “Floating Sunstone Maroon” to “Floating Sundown Silver”, accentuates this shape. The two-tone 14-spoke wheels are unique to this car.

The Skytop uses two-tone materials for the interior. The Floating Sunstone Maroon is matched with Sundown Brown, while the seats are finished in Moonstone White leather.

The Concept Speedtop is expected to use the same 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine as the Skytop. It produces 625 hp and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system.
