BMW ALPINA has given us the first hint of its upcoming V8 engine. And with that, it has made it clear that outright power figures won’t be the only priority.
In a recent social media post, the brand highlighted the V8 engine as a key part of its approach to offer strong performance along with supreme comfort.

The post says, “Refined by BMW ALPINA engineers, the V8 lays the foundation for the unmistakable BMW ALPINA driving character: exhilarating performance, delivered with supreme composure.”
Technical details of the V8 engine remain under wraps as of now. However, what we can infer from the info available is that the focus would be on a wide torque curve and smooth, immediate power delivery instead of outright horsepower numbers.

A conventional petrol setup, possibly with mild-hybrid assistance, also seems more likely than a plug-in hybrid system.
It is anticipated that the facelifted BMW 7 Series could be the first model to receive this new V8, although BMW ALPINA has yet to confirm anything on this.
