Aston Martin has revealed the softer side of its super SUV, the DBX. It’s called the DBX GT, and while it retains the same angry 717 hp V8, it promises a quieter, more supple driving experience.
Unlike the DBX S, which is sharper and more driver-focused, the new DBX GT wants to be your everyday companion, whether it’s your daily commute or a weekend highway cruise.

The seats have additional cushioning with a thick layer of memory foam and reworked bolsters. The rear seats have also been revised and feature extended headrests and bolsters. NVH has been improved with the use of additional sound-deadening material along the doors, wheel arches, and rear cargo area, while the rear windows are now made from acoustic laminated glass.

Aston Martin has also made some changes to the suspension to improve overall ride comfort. The DBX GT gets a different calibration of damper settings and a unique damper valve system, which enhances ride compliance over poor surfaces while maintaining body control. The SUV uses the same quicker ratio steering as the DBX S.

The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine delivers 717 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, which enables the DBX GT to sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds. The top speed is pegged at 193 mph.
