As McLaren prepares for its 1,000th Formula 1 race start at Monaco this weekend, the brand has chosen to celebrate it through an ultra-exclusive creation – the Artura 1000GP.

Limited to just ten examples worldwide, this bespoke hybrid supercar draws direct inspiration from the MCL40 Formula 1 machine piloted by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. It features Papaya orange accents streak across the bodywork, highlighting the front bonnet, flanks, and key aerodynamic surfaces. There is also a bespoke metallic papaya dedication plaque on the inside to honour the achievement.

The McLaren Artura 1000GP has a plug-in hybrid setup that pairs a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 with an electric motor and a 7.4 kWh battery pack. The result is a combined 690 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque. It sprints from 0-62 mph in just 3.0 seconds and pushes on to a top speed of 205 mph. It can also travel up to 21 miles on electric power alone.

McLaren CEO Nick Collins said, “Racing and road cars have always been shaped by the same mindset at McLaren, and the McLaren Artura 1000GP by MSO celebrates that shared foundation.” He added the model gives “clients a meaningful connection to the MCL40 in a milestone moment.”
