Anti-oil protesters vandalise Aston Martin showroom in London

Anti-oil protesters have been holding demonstrations across London for the last few days. Earlier today, demonstrators stormed central London and blocked Park Lane. Some of them were even seen throwing paint on an Aston Martin dealership.

According to media reports, the recent escalation in protests are in response to the new anti-protest laws.

Earlier, ‘Just Stop Oil’ activists vandalized a Vincent van Gogh painting at the National Gallery. It has been reported that two protesters threw tomato soup on the painting.

21-year old Phoebe Plummer, who was one of them, said, “What is worth more, art or life? Is it worth more than food? More than justice? Are you more concerned about the protection of a painting or the protection of our planet and people? The cost of living crisis is part of the cost of oil crisis, fuel is unaffordable to millions of cold, hungry families. They can’t even afford to heat a tin of soup.”

The group is said to have been conducting demonstrations across central London for the past two weeks, causing inconvenience to traffic and commuters in general.
