All-new Aston Martin Vantage revealed. Prices start at $150,000 in the US
The all-new Aston Martin Vantage gets a DB10 inspired exterior and new twin-turbo V8 engine.
The brand new Aston Martin Vantage just broke cover revealing its new styling that takes inspiration from the DB10 from the James Bond flick, Spectre. The new baby-Aston is based on bonded aluminium platform similar to the DB11.
It retains the proportions of its predecessor with a short wheelbase and short overhangs and a classic two-door coupe with a long hood. The front end features a wide grille shaped like the one seen on the Vulcan supercar, while rear end gets an LED strip that follows the contours of the rear clam shell. Aston Martin designers have given the new Vantage a more aggressive styling. It has a low slung front splitter and distinct rear diffuser to channel air. The interior looks modern and luxurious.
The new Vantage uses a Mercedes-AMG sourced 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 that produces 503 hp and 505 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission and has an electronic rear differential. The car weighs 3,373 lbs and will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.5 sec, while top speed is 195 mph.
The new Aston Martin Vantage is priced at US$ 149,995 in the US. Deliveries will begin in the first quarter of 2018.
