Out of Portugal comes a name few enthusiasts must have heard of yet. The Adamastor Furia may be flying under the radar, but it’s quietly proving it has the credentials to shake up the supercar scene.

Prototype #001 has returned to the Portimao circuit, not for show, but for serious high-speed testing. At its heart sits a Ford-sourced 3.5L twin-turbo V6, delivering around 650 hp and 421 lb-ft of torque. The engine is housed within a lightweight carbon-fibre chassis, an area where Adamastor brings genuine expertise, having worked extensively with composites and engineering since 2014.

But the real story lies in the aero. The Adamastor Furia reportedly generates over 2,000 pounds of downforce at 155 mph, thanks in part to a Venturi-effect floor – suggesting this machine is built as much for corners as it is for straight-line speed.

Initial testing has gone smoothly, with no reliability concerns and positive feedback from test driver Diogo Matos. For a newcomer, that’s no small feat. With just 60 units planned, the Furia enters a fiercely competitive niche. But if these early signs are anything to go by, this Portuguese underdog might just have what it takes to turn heads.
