The Mercedes-AMG GT SUV has made its first appearance on public roads since its recent reveal. A social media video shows the brand-new electric SUV being unloaded from a covered trailer before apparently being driven into a Mercedes facility.
Finished in a subtle shade of grey, the SUV still has tyre stickers visible, making it clear this is a very fresh example. The design looks particularly imposing from the front, with a striking fascia and several aerodynamic details. The side profile is equally impressive, although we find the rear to be less convincing, mostly because of the taillights, which can also be found on the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe.

The electric SUV rides on Mercedes-AMG’s dedicated AMG.EA platform and will be offered in GT53, GT55 and GT63 versions.
The range-topping GT63 is the serious performer. It packs 1,153 hp and a huge 1,475 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to reach 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. Top speed is rated at 168 mph.
