Jaguar Land Rover Australia is recalling 95 Range Rover Sport SUVs due to a potential issue with the rear subframes. The affected vehicles were built in 2023 through 2026.
As per the official recall notice, the rear subframe may have developed cracks during manufacturing, which can grow larger over time and weaken the structure of the vehicle.

That could be particularly serious in a rear-end crash, where the reduced structural strength may increase the risk of severe injury or even death to occupants.
JLR says owners of the affected Range Rover Sport models will be contacted and asked to arrange an inspection. If cracks are discovered, the necessary repairs will be carried out free of charge.

The issue isn’t limited to Australia, either. JLR has also recalled 873 Range Rover Sport SUVs in the US and its territories over the same potential defect.
The cracks can reportedly develop during the forging process, before the subframes reach vehicle assembly. What’s more, subsequent machining can hide them, making the problem difficult to identify during a normal visual inspection.
