BMW is bringing eight-cylinder power back to the top of its 7 Series range in the US. The new 2027 M760 xDrive will arrive in the first half of next year, giving the flagship sedan a more powerful alternative to the current inline-six-powered 740.
The BMW M760 gets an enhanced twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 producing around 570 hp. BMW hasn’t revealed all the numbers yet, but all-wheel drive will be standard, while the chassis gets upgrades over the 740 to better handle the extra muscle.

The new model effectively takes the place of the previous 760i, although it makes slightly more power. That car’s twin-turbo V8 produced 536 hp, so the new M760 represents a good step forward.
BMW also says it’s refocusing its M Performance range in the US around V8 engines, which should please many buyers.

Pricing hasn’t been announced, but the M760 is expected to cost more than $126,000 when it reaches showrooms.
