The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 in the UAE has received not one but three separate recall notices. All three combined, a total of 29,774 vehicles built in Japan between 2021 and 2024 have been affected.
Al Futtaim Motors is managing the recalls along with the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, addressing potential issues with the engine, engine-control software and automatic transmission.

The first recall covers 6,571 vehicles and concerns possible crankshaft bearing damage caused by manufacturing debris. Symptoms could include unusual knocking, rough running, starting difficulties or, in some cases, an engine stall. Dealers will inspect affected engines and replace them if necessary.
A second campaign covers 7,453 Land Cruiser 300 SUVs. Their engine-control software may not properly account for cooling-fan operation, potentially affecting engine output under certain conditions. The ECU software will be updated free of charge.

The largest campaign covers 15,750 vehicles and involves the 10-speed automatic transmission. A fault could cause excessive rotational speed, transmission damage, power loss or fluid leakage, with the latter potentially increasing fire risk.
Owners will receive the necessary repairs at no cost.
