Mercedes-Benz Singapore has unveiled the new Mercedes-AMG GLC53 4MATIC+ in both SUV and Coupe forms.
Power comes from a heavily revised 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six producing 443 hp and 600 Nm (442 lb ft). An overboost function can briefly raise torque to 640 Nm (472 lb ft), helping both body styles sprint from 0–100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 4.2 seconds.
AMG has reworked the engine with a redesigned cylinder head, revised intake and larger intercooler. An electric auxiliary compressor and 48-volt starter-generator also help sharpen throttle response while providing mild-hybrid assistance.
There is plenty of hardware underneath to match the power. The GLC53 gets a nine-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT transmission, fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive and rear-axle steering. AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with adaptive damping adds further flexibility between comfort and sharper driving.
The GLC53 is now available in Singapore, priced from $475,888 for the SUV and $483,888 for the Coupe.
