Aston Martin is in no rush to enter the electric-car market. CEO Adrian Hallmark has indicated that the British luxury marque will not launch its first battery-electric vehicle before 2033, pushing back plans once aimed at the end of this decade.
Hallmark, who joined Aston Martin from Bentley in September 2024, had previously suggested a 2030 launch. That was already a delay from the 2027 target set by the company’s previous management.

As per reports, Hallmark pointed to rapidly changing customer demand and legislation as reasons for the uncertainty. He said these factors are changing faster than carmakers can realistically respond.
Rather than commit to a fixed date, Hallmark suggested the first EV could arrive in 2033 or 2035, depending on how the market and regulations develop. He ruled out 2031 as a likely launch year.
