Alpine is preparing to reinvent the A110 for the electric era, and a new sculpture has given us an early glimpse at what the next-generation sports car could look like.
The dramatic piece previews the design direction of the upcoming two-seater, with flowing surfaces and a low, swoopy silhouette. Alpine describes the new A110 as the world’s first “true electric sports car”, with lightweight construction remaining a key priority.
Rather than adapting an existing EV platform, Alpine has developed a new aluminium-intensive architecture specifically for performance cars.
The platform uses an 800V electrical system, while separate battery packs are positioned at the front and rear. This arrangement helps achieve a 40:60 front-to-rear weight distribution, keeping more mass towards the driven rear axle.
Final performance figures remain under wraps, but Alpine has already confirmed that the electric A110 will offer more than 340 miles of range.
