McLaren dealers get early look at new models including an SUV

1 Min Read

McLaren appears to be preparing for a much bigger change than simply replacing its existing supercars. Dealers have reportedly been given an early behind-the-scenes look at the company’s upcoming models, including an SUV and a new GT.

The plan is reportedly to introduce at least one new model every year through 2028, giving McLaren a considerably broader lineup than it has today. And while an SUV might sound unusual for a company best known for lightweight supercars, the idea has been discussed for some time.

A new mid-engined V6 hybrid supercar is also reportedly planned for 2027. That car should be much closer to McLaren’s traditional formula, ICE + electric with a focus on outright performance.

The reported sedan-like GT would take McLaren into another area, potentially offering more everyday usability without completely abandoning true performance.

For now, the details remain limited, and McLaren has not publicly revealed the full range of models shown to dealers.
