A stunning 2023 Ferrari Daytona SP3 has just changed hands for an extraordinary $17,825,000 at RM Sotheby’s Monterey Car Week auction in California. The buyer has become the 3rd owner of the car.
The result is a major milestone for a standard-production Daytona SP3. It also sets a new record for a non-charity example sold at public auction, although another SP3 remains far ahead as the most expensive example ever sold.

Finished in Giallo Triplo Strato, or Triple-Layer Yellow, this Ferrari Daytona SP3 features contrasting Nero racing stripes and an Italian flag motif. The cabin continues the theme with Nero leather, Giallo accents and a host of carbon-fibre details, including the roof and lower bodywork. Scuderia Ferrari shields complete the striking specification.
It packs a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12, producing 829 hp. Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, it can do 0-62 mph in 2.85 seconds and has a top speed north of 211 mph.
