The upcoming Jaguar Type 01 has been spotted at the Nurburgring. The 1000 hp electric grand tourer can be seen doing a hot lap of the Green Hell.
The car spotted is wearing heavy camouflage. So we don’t really get to see the actuals behind the disguise. For that, we’d have to wait till October, when it will officially break cover. But from what we can see in the footage here, we think it’s going to have an immense road presence.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Type 01 in motion. It was also spotted in Monaco during the F1 race weekend in May. Wrapped in a striking red-and-black disguise, it was doing rounds of the challenging street circuit.
Jaguar is showcasing the Type 01 at Monterey Car Week. The company has released some official images of the EV’s interior. It features a 1980s-style cabin with “four individual spaces”, retro-style two-tone seats, and a 2-spoke steering wheel, which reminds us of the luxury sedans from the 80s.
