Hardcore version of Toyota GR GT spotted at Nordschleife Nurburgring

1 Min Read

Something faster, sharper, and more serious is lapping the Nordschleife Nurburgring. It seems to be a hardcore version of the Toyota GR GT.

At first glance, you might mistake it for the track-only Toyota GR GT3. But look closer, and the presence of a license plate confirms this is still road-legal. What we’re likely seeing is a more hardcore variant—possibly an RS-style evolution.

The Toyota GR GT prototype is fitted with a more aggressive front splitter, while the rear is dominated by a swan-neck wing. There are also exposed carbon-fibre louvers on the front fenders, reminiscent of a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, along with sharp canards.

The prototype carries the mandatory high-voltage warning sticker, confirming a hybrid setup is still in play. That likely means the twin-turbo V8 and electric motor combo will carry over, producing around 641 hp and 627 lb ft of torque.
