A 61-year-old woman has crashed her Porsche into a hotel lobby in Malaysia. Reports say that the incident took place this morning along Persiaran Gurney in George Town, Penang.

It is being said that the woman was driving home alone after paying a visit to her family. Unfortunately, she stepped on the accelerator pedal instead of the brake by mistake. As a result, she lost control of the Porsche and ended up ramming into a hotel lobby.

Thankfully, no fatalities or injuries have been reported. Northeast police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rozak Muhammad gave a statement on this incident, stating that the extent of losses is still under investigation.

Reports claim that the case is being investigated under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act for careless and inconsiderate driving. It is an offence that is punishable by up to 12 months in jail and a maximum RM 10,000 ($2481) fine.
