The idea of a modern M car with a proper manual gearbox is quickly becoming rare. No wonder there is a huge demand for the manual M3 CS. As a result, some BMW dealers in the US are reportedly asking well over the MSRP for the 3-pedal model.
As per media reports, the demand for the manual BMW M3 CS in the US has skyrocketed, with dealers quietly building waiting lists and, in some cases, asking well over the MSRP. And it’s easy to see why.

This isn’t just another G80 M3. It’s a rear-wheel-drive, S58-powered machine with CS-specific tweaks, paired to a six-speed manual. Add to that the throwback paint options like Imola Red and Techno Violet, which only enhance the appeal.
Supply, however, is tight. Early estimates suggest just 800 to 900 manual M3 CS units will make it to the US. Allocations are equally restrictive, with most M-certified dealers receiving just two cars, and standard dealerships often limited to one. This is resulting in long queues and rising premiums.

The current generation of the BMW M3 (G80) is at the end of its lifecycle. So, before it goes out of production, BMW released one last special edition of the sports sedan – the M3 CS with a 6-speed manual transmission. Powering this machine is a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight six that produces 473 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque.
