The Hongqi Guoya has officially entered the Russian market. The luxury and powerful sedan has become the most expensive Chinese car on sale here. It is a direct challenger to the likes of the Mercedes-Maybach.
The Hongqi Guoya has been designed under the direction of former Rolls-Royce designer Giles Taylor. It features an imposing front grille, retro-inspired headlamps, and a retractable hood ornament. Its vertical taillights are inspired by traditional Chinese palace lanterns.

The cabin offers various luxurious features such as supple Nappa leather and real wood sourced from colder regions of China. It also comes with a 14.2-inch 4K OLED display, and you can use Face ID to unlock personalised driver settings.

But the real magic happens in the rear. The four-seat configuration transforms the Guoya into a rolling lounge. Reclining seats with massage, ventilation, and even a near flat “zero-gravity” mode redefine long-distance comfort. Add to that a 32-speaker audio system paired with 4D vibration feedback, and you’re essentially travelling first class on wheels.

Under the skin, it’s no slouch either. A V6 hybrid with 380 hp kicks things off, while a 4.0L V8-powered flagship pushes out 476 hp, hitting 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.5 seconds. Air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and self-repairing tyres round off a seriously advanced package.

The Hongqi Guoya will be available in Russia in two variants. The Elegance with a V6 and five seats for $390,965 (27.7 million Russian Rubles), and the Imperial with a V8 and four seats for $447,429 (31.7 million Russian Rubles). For comparison, the imported Mercedes-Maybach is available from $635,130 (45 million Russian Rubles).
