The first-ever Audi Q9 has been showcased. Some of the key features of the German brand’s new flagship SUV have been revealed.
The new Q9, which has been put up on display, is still wearing full camouflage. In fact, it still says “Audi Q9 prototype”. But what we can infer is the immense length of this SUV. It is gonna rival the BMW X7, Mercedes-Benz GLS, and the likes. A bunch of other exterior features include a large front grille with a very prominent Audi logo, huge and stylish alloy wheels, connected taillamps with an illuminated Audi logo at the back, and a roof-mounted spoiler.
Things on the inside of the Audi Q9 get even more interesting. There are many new elements, including the black panel screens. It also comes with the largest panoramic sliding roof that Audi has ever made. We get digital AC controls that can be accessed via the touchscreen, a 22-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, and seats and door cards feature a mixture of cloth, leather, and leatherette.
The new SUV also features electric doors. The driver side door can be closed by just pressing the brake pedal. Audi is also providing MagSafe conductive charging pads in the centre console. And we also get to see concealed carbon fibre trims.
Designed with space and comfort in mind, the standard Audi Q9 will come with a middle bench seat. However, the variant put up on display had captain chairs. It appears to be a no-nonsense and purpose-built SUV that should attract a lot of buyers. More details are expected to be disclosed in the future.
