The 2028 Audi RS Q5 has been spotted testing. This new car isn’t going to be just a warmed-up family SUV, but it would end up offering close to 640 bhp of hybrid power.
Looking at the 2028 Audi RS Q5 spy images, what immediately grabs attention is the stance of the test mule. Flared wheel arches hint at a wider track, while massive brake discs, especially up front, sit snug behind large alloys wrapped in ultra-low-profile rubber.

Up front, the test mule borrows design cues from the Audi SQ5, but look closer, and you’ll spot new cooling elements feeding what’s expected to be a brutal 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine. Around the back, signature oval exhausts make an early appearance. While they would be engineered to produce fewer emissions, we just hope they do that without compromising on the SUV’s exhaust note.
What else? Expect the 2028 Audi RS Q5 to have an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch infotainment display. Apart from that, the SUV would come equipped with sportier, more supportive seats and optional carbon trim to dial up the sportiness quotient.
Audi is also expected to throw in a chassis upgrade because the new RS Q5 would be running a plug-in hybrid setup under the hood, putting out around 640 bhp and with an electric motor capable of delivering 177 bhp and nearly 90 km of EV-only range.
