Shelby American has revealed the 2024 Super Snake at the Barrett-Jackson stage in Palm Beach, Florida.
Based on the latest generation of the Ford Mustang S650, the 2024 Shelby Super Snake gets performance as well as cosmetic upgrades. It is available as a fastback or a convertible.
Starting with the exterior, the car looks more aggressive thanks to a widebody kit, which includes an aluminium hood with carbon fibre vents, carbon fibre front fenders with vents, redesigned front fascia with larger vents, a carbon front splitter, rockers and rear diffuser. The car is available with either a ducktail spoiler or a carbon fibre Super Snake rear wing.
Inside, the Super Snake gets leather and Alcantara seats, special mats, door sill plates, serialized dash plaque and a Shelby shifter.
Under the hood is a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 spiced-up with a Whipple supercharger, producing more than 830 hp. The car is also available with a 430 hp engine and with a choice of either a manual or automatic transmission.
Shelby has also upgraded the cooling system and exhaust. The drivetrain has been beefed up with performance drive shafts, hardened extended wheel studs and 20-inch forged magnesium wheels. The Super Snake rides on a Shelby suspension system and is equipped with upgraded brake rotors.
The production of the 2024 Shelby Super Snake has been capped at 250 units.
