Ferrari SF90 ‘Versione Speciale’ might look like this

Ferrari plans to roll out a track-focused version of the SF90 Stradale later this year. Dubbed the Ferrari SF90 VS (Versione Speciale), the new model is expected to get aero and performance upgrades.

Now, a prototype of the Ferrari SF90 VS was spotted around Maranello last month. It was also the first time we saw a more ‘close-to-production’ version of the ‘Versione Speciale’. Besides the large fixed spoiler at the back, the most notable changes could be seen on the front fascia.

Monaco Auto Design has created a rendering based on the spy images of the SF90 VS. It gives us a hint of what it might actually look like. As you can see, the L-shaped headlamps have been carried over. However, the front bumper section has been completely redesigned. It has a central section similar to the 488 Challenge race car. The car could also get new side vents, a more prominent splitter and side skirts.

When we first saw the prototype, we thought the rear wing looked a bit out of place. However, it looks more balanced in this rendering. Still, we prefer the clean design of the SF90 Stradale.

The standard version uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 unit that produces 769 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The internal combustion engine is assisted by two electric motors mounted at the front and one at the rear, adding another 217 hp for a combined output of 986 hp. It could receive a slight performance bump for the SF90 VS.
