The Chery Jetour G700 has officially launched in China. Known locally as the Jetour Zongheng G700, the 2027 model starts at 329,900 yuan, or around $48,500.
The G700 keeps its boxy, imposing silhouette, but Chery has made a few subtle changes. The updated SUV gets a cleaner grille, new wheel designs and body-coloured bumpers and side skirts, giving it a more polished appearance without losing its tough character.
Inside, things are considerably more premium. Soft-touch materials and new colour combinations freshen up the cabin, while a huge 35.4-inch screen dominates the dashboard. Buyers can choose between five- and six-seat layouts.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged plug-in hybrid system producing a combined 665 kW, or 892 hp. Off-road hardware includes front and rear locking differentials, a central energy lock, multiple terrain modes and air suspension.
