Geely has introduced the Galaxy M9 in the UAE. The powerful full-size plug-in hybrid SUV has been introduced at a price of AED 159,900 ($43,540).
The 5.2-metre-long, three-row SUV is offered in a single trim featuring a 1.5-litre petrol engine and three electric motors. Combined output stands at 640 kW (858 hp), allowing the M9 to sprint from 0-100 km/h (0- 62 mph) in 4.5 seconds. It also offers a claimed combined range of 1,100 km (684 miles).
Despite that performance, the M9 is very much designed as a family SUV. Its six-seat cabin uses a 2+2+2 layout and features a massive 30-inch display, a 32-inch augmented-reality head-up display and a 17.3-inch ceiling-mounted rear screen.
There’s also a built-in refrigerator, 27-speaker audio system, folding second-row table and a powered legrest for the front passenger.
UAE customers can currently reserve the Galaxy M9 for AED 5,000 ($1,360). It enters a segment occupied by cars such as the Kia Telluride, Nissan Pathfinder and Honda Pilot.
