3 Le Mans-inspired one-off Aston Martin DB12 S models coming to Pebble Beach

Aston Martin is bringing a small piece of its Le Mans history to this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, with three one-off DB12 S models created by its Q bespoke division.

The inspiration comes from 1951, when Aston Martin’s factory team entered three DB2 race cars in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Wearing the registration numbers VMF 63, VMF 64 and VMF 65, each car was distinguished by a different bright grille colour. Aston Martin has now recreated that theme on its latest flagship.

The three DB12 S VMF editions are identical underneath, but each gets its own colour treatment. All start with a Carbon Black exterior, while VMF 63 receives Rosso Red accents, VMF 64 gets Speed Yellow and VMF 65 uses Ellwood Blue.

Each car features matching grille vanes, round number panels carrying the number 75 on the front fenders, carbon-fibre side strakes and a painted Aeroblade at the rear. Inside, the same colours appear through contrast stitching, while embroidered DB2 silhouettes are added to the front seatbacks.
