A very exclusive Koenigsegg Gemera has been pictured at Nurburgring. The stunning 4-seater plug-in hybrid grand tourer packs in a whopping 2300 hp, and can do the 0-62 mph sprint in a ridiculous 1.9 seconds!
The Gemera in the pictures is said to be one of the four units that have been built. While the hypercar was unveiled back in 2020, its production started in March this year. Only 300 models will be made, and each piece will cost $3 million.
Like any other Koenigsegg, the Gemera looks phenomenal, especially in this green and bronze combination. Powering this machine is the updated 5.0-litre twin-turbo HV8 from the Jesko and three electric motors. They produce a combined power output of 2300 hp and 2028 lbâ‹…ft of torque. Its 9-speed Light Speed Tourbillon Transmission (LSTT) is a modified version of the 9-speed Light Speed Transmission found in the Jesko. Customers can also pick a 2.0-litre twin-turbo inline-3 engine.
The Koenigsegg Gemera is ludicrously fast. It can run from a standstill to 62 mph in mere 1.9 seconds. And with no restraints, this hypercar can achieve a top speed of 249 mph!

3 million dollars, 2300hp, and its still not really any faster than a c8 zr1. Koenigsegg and the rest no longer have any excuse to justify their prices and exclusivity. Theyve lost the lead they had in performance. Theyre getting beaten by a stock car that costs a significant fraction less money. And if theyre arent getting beat, theyre not winning by enough to justify the price. Let us know when they can outperform the corvette with equal stats and a closer msrp and no limit on production.
It’s not all about speed. Also, its a 4 seater car. With all the latest tech you can for into it. Its a hyper car that you can fit the whole family in if you want. Nobody else has done anything close to this.
If it wasn’t for the technical innovations of hypercar companies like koenigsegg. That C8 you used as a comparison. Wouldn’t exist. It took 10 years but the hypercar tech that blew everyone’s minds, has finally filtered down to the cheap mass production companies like Chevrolet. Though its like comparing a $500 kmart mountain bike to a $6000 santa cruz mtb. They both look similar (2 wheels and a frame) they both do the same job. But they are just not the same thing.

It’s a full four seater, for a start.
CVK has hit a field in the car world that no one has even though of. A Hypercar + family safe car that actually looks BADASS. If I was younger and just starting a family and had the means. I definitely would put my wife in one. Yeah it’s quick and fast, but it also is very very safe car. And that’s what you want for your wife and kids.
I don’t understand nor take seriously the 0 to 62 mph aspect as the measure has been car speed going 0 to 60mph !! Why would anyone be interested in the extra 2mph speed ratio?
62 mph = 100kph
62 is the standard because it equates to 100km.

In Europe they measure 0-100 kilometers per hour, which is 62 mph.
They’re hand made with one of a kind transmission and suspension. They only produce very few. But if you can’t afford a Koenigsegg, you get the 911 4s, if you can’t afford that you get a C8. I agree with you. I’m just giving reasons.
