A heavily camouflaged prototype of the 2027 G90 M5 has been spotted at the Green Hell. A few elements under the disguise show strong hints that it is going to follow BMW’s Neue Klasse design language.
The 2027 BMW M5 can be seen being pushed to its limits. We can tell that just by listening to the exhaust note of its 4.4L twin-turbo V8 engine. It does sound good, honestly. With an aftermarket setup, this thing is going to be a treat for the enthusiasts.
Anyway, the prototype, although heavily camouflaged, gives out a few details that point towards BMW‘s Neue Klasse design language. For example, the front end feels sharper with new LED headlamps and a slimmer and wider kidney grille. At the rear, the updated M5 will feature slim wraparound LED taillights and the signature quad exhausts.
So far, we’ve seen BMW testing its 2027 G90 M5 multiple times. Apart from the design changes, the performance sedan will get the same plug-in hybrid powertrain as the current model, which makes 717 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque.
We hope that the testing phase of the 2027 BMW M5 makes progress, and the next prototypes that we get to see slowly get rid of the camouflage, giving us a clear view of what’s coming.
