Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder drops its top at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

Lamborghini has unveiled the convertible version of the hardcore Huracan Perfomante. The Performante Spyder is almost identical to the coupe which was launched last year. It has the same 5.2-liter, naturally aspirate V10 engine that produces 640 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.

Besides, the engine, the Spyder version also retains the trick aerodynamics package which Lamborghini refers to as Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA). So, what has changed?

Well, the Huracan Performante Spyder gets a fabric roof and a few more carbon fiber components that are 35 kg lighter than the ones on the coupe. Still, the Spyder weighs 1507 kg dry, which makes it 125 kg heavier than the hard top. As a result, 0-62 mph comes up in 3.1 sec (0.2 sec slower than the coupe), while 0-124 mph is dealt with in 9.3 sec (0.4 sec more on the coupe). The increased weight also affects the supercar’s top speed. The Performance Spyder tops out at 201 mph.

And finally, the price. The Huracan Performante Spyder costs approximately $330,000.
