2016 NAIAS: Buick Avista Concept

Buick Avista Concept 2016 Detroit Auto Show

Buick got down to business on the eve of the 2016 Detroit Auto Show by revealing the new Buick Avista Concept. It is a 2-door coupe with elegant proportions. Based on the Cadillac ATS-V, this Buick sports coupe concept will probably not reach production anytime soon, however it does show Buick’s commitment towards building an exciting sports car.

It is “exciting” because of its 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that puts out 400 hp. Coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission which sends power to the rear wheels, the Buick Avista Concept sure has the legs to put it among the league of fast, exciting sports cars. It also gets GM’s magnetic ride suspension and start/stop technology.

The interior of the car is equally modern with a driver focused dashboard with touchscreen controls, sporty carbon fiber elements along with aluminum inserts, sports seats and pillar-less doors that give it that ultra-modern and sport appearance.

Moreover, keep watching this space for more stories from the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.
