2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Envisioned

The sixth generation Camaro has been unveiled and some people are already getting excited about a future convertible version. Folks at Car and Driver are the first to envision a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible and it looks pretty decent with the top off.

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro convertible will be based on the same lightweight Alfa platform that also underpins cars like the Cadillac ATS and the Camaro coupe. We can expect the same range of engines that power the coupe to be offered on the convertible as well.

Since, it is based on a lightweight and rigid chassis, the new Camaro Convertible should be more fun to drive along the California coastline with the roof down. Of course, the upcoming convertible would be 2+2 with slightly less luggage space in the boot. That said, the sound of the 6.2-liter V8 with the roof down would be something to cherish.
