Leaked! Is this the new BMW M3 electric?
The all-new BMW i3 made its global debut a few days back. It promises 463 hp, but there’s an even more powerful version coming.
A leaked image of what is believed to be the first-ever M3 electric has popped up on social media. It features the same Neue Klasse design as the new i3, but clearly looks more aggressive than the standard version.
The front end looks sharper and more focused with the slim, full-width kidney grille. The front bumper and air dam have a sporty design. There are two vertically stacked square LEDs on either side, and a cooling vent on the bonnet.
The new BMW i3 is based on an 800V electric architecture. It is available in a dual-motor configuration delivering 463 hp and 476 lb-ft of torque. The M3 electric could feature a similar configuration with even more power. While the regular i3 is said to have a maximum range of 440 miles, the M3 electric could sacrifice outright range for added performance.
