Lexus could be preparing a hotter version of its new three-row electric SUV. Trademark filings for the TZ 600e have surfaced in Great Britain, Norway, Australia and New Zealand, suggesting the range could eventually get a new flagship variant.

Lexus hasn’t confirmed the model or its specifications, but the name offers an interesting clue. The brand already uses the 600e badge on the RZ 600e F SPORT Performance, which produces 420 hp. The TZ 600e could borrow similar powertrain technology, putting it above the versions announced so far.

The trademark is particularly interesting because Lexus previously registered the TZ 450e and TZ 550e names in July 2023, almost three years before the SUV’s reveal.

For now, there is no corresponding US trademark filing, and American TZ buyers currently top out at 402 hp with a performance upgrade for the TZ 450e Luxury.

A more powerful TZ would also reflect Lexus’ continued push into electric vehicles, as battery and drivetrain technology evolves. However, a trademark alone doesn’t guarantee a production model. So, it is “wait and watch” time.
