BMW has given its flagship 7 Series a fresh update, but the focal point is what has happened to the electric i7. The luxury sedan now goes further between charges without needing a much larger battery.
The BMW i7 50 xDrive produces 335 kW / 449 hp and 660 Nm / 487 lb ft, while its WLTP range has increased to 728 km / 452 miles, up 20 km / 12 miles from before. BMW also says a 10-minute high-power charging stop can add between 195 km / 121 miles and 235 km / 146 miles of range.

Interestingly, the battery remains around 112kWh, suggesting BMW has squeezed more efficiency from the drivetrain and energy management rather than simply adding capacity.
Inside, the updated 7 Series gets BMW’s Panoramic iDrive, featuring the wide Panoramic Vision display, a 17.9-inch central screen and a passenger display.

The hotter i7 M70 xDrive packs 500 kW / 671 hp and 1,100 Nm / 811 lb ft, reaching 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.8 seconds while offering up to 686 km / 426 miles of range. But this is currently not available in Singapore.
But the updated BMW i7 is at $709,888, and the 735 M Sport can be purchased for $684,888, both inclusive of COE.
