Maserati may be going through a rough patch, but Stellantis has no intention of letting the Italian marque go. Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has dismissed renewed speculation that the luxury brand could be sold.
The rumours haven’t come out of nowhere. Maserati has struggled with falling sales in recent years, while Stellantis has been looking at different ways to get the brand back on its legs. Talks with potential partners have also added fuel to speculation about its future, although exploring partnerships is not the same as preparing a sale.

Speaking to Bloomberg Television at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, Filosa was asked directly about the possibility of selling Maserati. His answer was remarkably short: “Not at all.”
That should put the latest sale rumours to rest, at least for now. Maserati still has plenty of work to do, though. The brand has a rich history and some seriously desirable cars, but turning that aspect into stronger sales remains the bigger challenge.
